Thank you all for a great year! We have enjoyed an exciting learning journey together with lots of hard work and many successes. I would like to extend my congratulations to our Grade 8 graduates and also to our Kindergarten graduates – we are very proud of you!

I am so impressed with how hard our staff has worked this year. It is with mixed feelings that we need to say good bye and thank you to some very dedicated and talented teachers who are leaving CPS. We have been lucky to have Mrs. Bradbury and Mrs. Holland join our staff for this year and we wish them all the best for next fall. Ms. Dolbeer will be teaching at Silverheights PS next year and Ms. Muise will be teaching at Lincoln Heights PS next. You have all made such a positive impact on our school community and we will miss you!

I would like to let everyone know that we have a change to our timetable for the fall. Our second nutrition break will be delayed by 30 minutes, and will occur from 2:00 – 2:40. A number of other schools have created a timetable with a larger instructional block during the middle of the day and a shorter block at the end of the day, and we are looking forward to implementing this at CPS. Our school day will still start at 9:20 and end at 3:40, and our first nutrition break will still occur from 11:20 – 12:00.

I would like to thank School Council for their hard work and support this year. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated parents supporting a number of very important initiatives, such as bringing a Gaga Ball Pit to CPS!

Mrs. Goodwin still has a few more yearbooks for sale, if you are interested.

I feel so fortunate to be part of such a caring and wonderful school community. I want to wish you all a wonderful summer and I am looking forward to working with you in the fall!

Mrs. Cathy Baer
