Dear Conestogo Public School families,

I am writing to you to make you aware of a situation that impacted our school community today.

A serious accident happened at Northfield Drive and Sawmill Road that resulted in a significant emergency services response. Ornge Air Ambulance responded to the accident and had to use our school field as a landing pad.

While Ornge was on our property, students were kept inside as a safety precaution.

Sometimes, experiencing incidents like this can cause students to become anxious or feel uncomfortable. If your child is feeling uneasy and would like to speak with someone, supports are available at school.

I would like to take this opportunity to say how proud I was today of our students. They listened to instructions and their cooperation allowed emergency services to help members of our community.
