September 1st, 2019
As we begin a new school year, I am thrilled to be joining Conestogo Public School as Principal. I am looking forward to many exciting learning opportunities that will be available for our students. May this be a year of personal and academic growth for everyone, and that everyone finds their potential as they become involved in the life of the school.
Parents, I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance as you work to support your child through her or his learning career.
On Tuesday, all students will meet on the tarmac and will find their homeroom teachers. Before that time, make sure to check your child’s class placement. (Instructions listed in an earlier post). Teachers will be wearing name stickers–most are known to the students, but a few teachers are new to the school.) I will be out and about as well, and look forward to saying hello to everyone.
Students will then proceed to their classrooms, at which point we will play O Canada and begin the day. For the first block before nutrition break, all students (including intermediate) will be in their homerooms. For students who have several teachers, or go to other rooms, this “rotary” component will begin starting second block, after the break. We will have a short welcome assembly for Gr. 1-6 students just before first break, and another one for intermediates just after the break.
Looking forward to an amazing year! Welcome back!
Sincerely,
Mr. M. Sendrea
Principal
